About the show
sigtronica is a weekly radio show on WMBR 88.1FM in Cambridge, MA, USA. The sounds range from older electronic and experimental music to modern movements in new music.
The early seasons of sigtronica were co-hosted with Christine Liu, now host of her own show called sans serif. Old playlists and information about that joint version of sigtronica are still available.
About the DJ
Nick Knouf is the DJ and producer of sigtronica. He’s been on WMBR nearly continuously since the Fall of 2004, first on a show called somewhere never travelled, then switching in the Fall of 2005 to sigtronica. He’s currently a first-year master’s student at the MIT Media Lab in the Hyperinstruments Group. His work and research can be seen on zeitkunst.org.
